Double blow to US strategy in Afghanistan

The US has suffered a double blow to its mission in Afghanistan.

Secondly, the Afghan Taliban has called off preliminary talks with the Americans.

However, the White House has insisted it remains committed to reconciliation talks to end the decade-old conflict.

Al Jazeera’s Rosiland Jordan reports from Washington.
